Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to designated patients undergoing endoscopy or theatre procedures in accordance with established standards. Implement medical orders accurately, administer prescribed medications, and maintain strict aseptic techniques while adhering to infection prevention protocols. Monitor patient conditions, promptly report changes to medical personnel, and perform specialized procedures to support smooth service delivery. Work independently to manage care, accurately document in the Meditech system, and maintain patient confidentiality. This fixed-term role in Dublin requires a registered nurse with one year of acute care experience and six months in an endoscopy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) — licence must be in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of post-registration experience in an acute care setting
- Demonstrated awareness of professional nursing responsibilities and adherence to ethical and clinical standards
- Minimum of 6 months' experience working in an endoscopy environment
Desired Qualifications
- Possession of endoscopy-specific qualifications or equivalent training
