Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiology procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and high-quality clinical outcomes. Monitor patients post-procedure, assess vital signs, recognise clinical deterioration, and escalate concerns promptly. Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with evidence-based clinical standards while adhering to best practices in infection prevention and control. Safely operate specialised cardiology and clinical equipment and respond promptly to medical emergencies. Prepare patients for procedures by providing clear information and addressing concerns. Requires NMBI registration, minimum 2 years acute hospital experience, and a flexible approach to shift work. Immediate start available for full-time permanent roles in Limerick.
Required Qualifications
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Minimum of 2 years post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
- A flexible approach to work patterns, including shift work if required
Desired Qualifications
- A Coronary Care or Intensive Care qualification
- Previous experience in ICU, CCU, or HDU settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong clinical competencies with evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
