Job Summary

Staff Network Engineer for M&A: lead and own the network integration lifecycle for acquired entities, define and execute network integration strategies, develop repeatable processes, assess target networks, design scalable and secure integrated architectures, plan migrations and hypercare, mentor engineering teams, collaborate with Security and Client Engineering, and identify tooling gaps for improved network discovery, migration, and testing. Requires senior-level network engineering expertise across cloud and on-prem environments, strong communication with executives, and ability to work across discovery through post-migration stabilization.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in Network Engineering and/or IT Infrastructure roles with a focus on complex, enterprise-scale network environments.
  • Self-sufficient ability to execute in program management, network architecture, and hands-on engineering capacities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in defining and building network engineering practices and repeatable processes.
  • Proven ability to operate across the entire network engineering lifecycle, from strategic discovery and architecture to hands-on execution and hypercare.
  • Excellent communication of complex network concepts to diverse audiences including C-suite, founders, and engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of modern cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid cloud network solutions, and on-premises network infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise networking technologies: advanced routing (BGP, OSPF), switching (VLANs, Spanning Tree), firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), VPNs (IPsec, SSL), and load balancing (F5, HAProxy).
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, segmentation, and traffic management.
  • Experience with network security principles, IDS/IPS, and SIEM as they relate to network infrastructure.
  • Scripting/automation for network deployment and management (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Nornir).
  • Strong understanding of security principles and common vulnerabilities in network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with client engineering principles and technologies, especially interfacing with network services.
  • Proven experience identifying tooling gaps and either developing solutions or scoping for development.
  • Travel ability for remote deployments and assessments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance
