Job Summary
Staff Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate highly reliable network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments. Key responsibilities include implementing routing architectures (BGP, OSPF), managing hybrid networking (VPNs, Direct Connect, inter-region routing), configuring Juniper hardware, developing network automation with Terraform and Ansible, enforcing network security controls, and participating in capacity planning, performance optimization, and incident analysis. Requires hands-on Juniper experience, strong TCP/IP/DNS/NAT knowledge, Kubernetes CNI (Calico, Cilium), and cloud/hybrid networking expertise (AWS Direct Connect, GCP Interconnect). Bonus skills include EVPN, RIPE, MANRS, IPv6 rollout, and Kali/automation familiarity. The role collaborates with Platform Engineering, SRE, and Security teams to deliver scalable and secure connectivity across environments.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in network engineering roles
- CCNP or JNCIP Data centre, Enterprise or Service provider
- Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, routing policies, and network troubleshooting
- TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, routing, switching, and load balancing
- Hands-on with Juniper networking (SRX, QFX)
- Kubernetes CNI (Calico, Cilium)
- Terraform and Ansible for automation
- Hybrid cloud networking (AWS Direct Connect, GCP Interconnect)
- VPC, Transit Gateway, Cloud Router
- Security controls, firewall policies, segmentation
- Network monitoring and runbooks
- IPv6 and EVPN/RPKI familiarity
- Experience with network monitoring, logging, and incident response
