Job Summary
Lead complex cross-team initiatives for iOS and Android retail journeys, partnering with product and design to deliver measurable impact on Wolt, DoorDash, and Deliveroo apps. Drive native implementation of server-driven UI, balancing speed, quality, and maintainability while establishing engineering standards across architecture, testing, and observability. Mentor engineers and champion AI-enabled tooling to accelerate delivery without compromising quality. Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to stakeholders to support predictable execution in large-scale B2C environments.
Required Qualifications
- Deep expertise in mobile development and particularly with the iOS ecosystem
- Experience operating at Staff Engineer level or equivalent scope
- A track record working on large-scale, native consumer (B2C) applications
- A pragmatic, impact-oriented mindset with a bias for action and simple, effective solutions
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity and execution in a fast-changing business environment
- Ability to influence and align stakeholders through clear communication and technical leadership
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning
- Practical experience using AI as part of your engineering toolkit
- Good instincts for validation, quality, and when not to take output at face value
