Job Summary
Staff ML Engineer (Audio) to design, build, and optimize production-scale ML/DL models for audio deepfake detection in client environments. You will collaborate with Research, Production Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure robustness, reliability, and performance across real-world conditions, including compression artifacts, noise, telephony, and streaming pipelines. Responsibilities include model development, productionization, failure analysis, structured experimentation roadmaps, monitoring and analytics of model health, and delivering actionable insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Must have PhD or equivalent industry experience; strong Python programming skills and experience with PyTorch/JAX; expertise in audio processing, evaluation metrics (ROC, precision/recall, DET curves); and experience building scalable dashboards and observability pipelines (e.g., Datadog, Metabase). Preference for candidates comfortable with EST work hours and for prior client-facing AI roles.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Signal Processing, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 2+ years of industry experience building and deploying ML/DL models
- Strong programming skills in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX)
- Solid understanding of audio processing fundamentals, classification and detection metrics
- Experience with large-scale training and benchmarking pipelines
