Job Summary
Develop complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical, and electropneumatic components and systems for new product platforms. Independently devise new approaches for engineering problems, coordinate major projects, and lead design proposal teams in preparing designs and cost estimates. Consult with customers and sales personnel to develop new product requirements, perform trade studies, and validate conceptual solutions through experimental development test programs. Provide authoritative judgment in evaluating and adapting engineering techniques, document analyses with accurate reports, and offer guidance and training to lower-level engineers. Advance technical career ladder goals by accelerating product platforms into diverse markets including flight simulation and oil and gas exploration.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 10 years of related experience
- Proven expertise in mechanical engineering sub-disciplines including: Statics and Dynamics, Hydraulics and Electro-Mechanical, Stress, Fatigue, and Performance Analysis, Rotating Machinery, FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), Model Based Design
- Able to provide guidance, coaching, and training to lower-level engineers
- Able to work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-term strategic goals and objectives
