Job Summary
Manufacturing Test Engineer to define and implement the manufacturing test strategy for L6 board-level production and L10 system-level testing. Work with ODM partners to develop, validate, and deploy ICT, MDA, and Board Functional Test, plus diagnostic coverage and production data requirements. Define test stations, fixtures, software, pass/fail criteria, and data capture; drive improvements in defect detection, yield, and test coverage. Support NPI bring-up and production ramp, collaborate with hardware, diagnostics, firmware, software, quality, and operations teams, and travel to ODM sites as needed. Strong Linux-based testing experience, scripting ability (Python/Bash), and deep knowledge of server hardware components and test processes are required. Preferred familiarity with L6/L10 manufacturing flows, system-level diagnostics, BIOS/UEFI, firmware update flows, and test automation tooling. Excellent communication and capability to drive root-cause investigations and corrective actions across global teams.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering or hardware test engineering
- Experience supporting high-volume server manufacturing or similar complex compute hardware products
- Strong understanding of board-level manufacturing test processes (ICT, MDA, Board Functional Test)
- Diagnostic test execution experience
- Experience working with ODM/CM/JDM manufacturing partners
- Hands-on experience with Linux-based test environments (test execution, scripting, log collection, failure triage)
- Knowledge of server hardware architecture (CPUs, memory, storage, networking, BMCs, firmware)
- Experience defining test fixtures and fixture bring-up for production readiness
- Strong understanding of manufacturing quality metrics (first-pass yield, retest rate, defect pareto)
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective action across engineering and manufacturing teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
