Job Summary
Staff Manufacturing Engineer to join NGAS in Palmdale, CA. Responsibilities include guiding design concepts for manufacturability, participating in tool design reviews to reduce build times and costs, defining operation sequences for product builds, addressing non-conforming product, and pursuing producibility and affordability improvements. Role requires interfacing with Engineering, proficiency in GD&T, and leadership across cross-functional teams. Strong hands-on manufacturing focus with experience in CATIA/SolidWorks/AutoCAD/NX and ERP, plus ability to travel internationally and obtain/maintain a US Secret clearance. On-site, 1st or 2nd shift options, with 25% travel. Relocation assistance not offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of engineering experience, Master’s Degree with 10 years of engineering experience, or PhD with 9 years of engineering experience
- Proficient reviewing and interpreting Blueprints and 3-D models (CATIA, Solidworks, AutoCAD, NX, or similar program)
- Ability to develop/lead projects; interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors
- Proficient knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Experience providing innovative techniques focused on improving product designs and tooling assemblies or equipment
- Ability to work 1st shift "5am-3:30pm" or 2nd shift "4:12pm-2:42am" and any work schedule (times may vary)
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time

- Preferred Qualifications: STEM Degree (Science, Technical, Engineering or Mathematical)
- Current Special Program Access
- Current and active US Government Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred
- Passport and willingness to travel internationally
