Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of approximately 20 project engineers by assigning tasks, monitoring progress against technical, cost, and schedule constraints, and conducting performance reviews. Ensure development and production projects comply with Design and Development standard processes while providing expert technical guidance and supporting proposal efforts. Coordinate with engineering leadership to align project goals, share best practices, and champion continuous improvement in design and development processes. Maintain key performance indicators and metrics to drive success. This onsite role in Elma, NY, requires a Staff Manager with a Bachelor's in Engineering and 7+ years of experience to lead the Space Sector's Actuation Systems Business Unit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of relevant technical experience
- Proven track record managing and leading engineering teams to success
- Experience with people leadership and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated experience in project management including EVMS, Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Management, Schedule and Budget Management
- Ability to work onsite in Elma, NY (remote candidates will not be considered)
- Access to U.S. export-controlled information
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
