Job Summary
Staff ML Engineer at SailPoint leads architectural vision for core ML systems and platforms, designing, developing, and deploying production-grade ML models (behavioral/anomaly detection, semantic search/embeddings, graph-based and LLM-based solutions) and driving end-to-end lifecycle from data pipelines to deployment and observability. Role emphasizes technical leadership, cross-team collaboration, mentoring engineers, setting engineering standards, and shaping AI roadmaps, with a focus on scalable, reusable ML services aligned with long-term platform strategy and enterprise cybersecurity domain.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven track record of architecting and delivering large-scale, production ML systems with meaningful business impact
- Deep hands-on expertise with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
- Strong foundation in data modeling, feature engineering, statistics, and experimental design
- Experience with MLOps practices, including monitoring, CI/CD, experiment tracking, and model lifecycle management
