Job Summary
Guide Neighborhoods mobile technical direction across Cash App and Square Point of Sale, leading strategic, cross-organizational workstreams to redefine local commerce. Drive architecture and execution for seamless integration of loyalty, marketing, and ordering features, staying hands-on with iOS development using SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency. Partner with backend, web, and Android engineers to ship high-quality features while mentoring teams and raising technical standards. Apply strong judgment around AI-assisted workflows to accelerate implementation, generate tests, and improve observability across the codebase.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant experience with iOS engineering design and implementation
- deep Swift and Objective-C experience
- Experience guiding iOS architecture with organizational impact
- Experience leading strategic, complex mobile product or platform initiatives with organizational impact
- Proven ability to drive collaboration across team, organizational, and discipline boundaries
- Track record shaping organizational technical direction
- Track record rallying teams around long-term architecture and product strategy
- Track record mentoring engineers to expand their scope and impact
- Experience applying AI tools thoughtfully to improve engineering speed, quality, and learning
