Staff iOS Engineer - MTS 2 (eBay Live)

Job Summary
Translate requirements to software design and create clean, efficient, extensible, maintainable code for eBay Live, the company's newest live shopping platform. Manage project features by breaking them into sub-tasks, identifying issues, and resolving them for efficient execution. Provide technical guidance through code reviews, contribute to Architecture Decision Records, and mentor individual team members. Improve team productivity by evangelizing opportunities for efficiency and integrating flexibility into designs to enhance engineering velocity. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop innovative solutions that adhere to development goals while guiding others on technical decisions. Build the engineering roadmap, identify gaps across systems, and propose solutions to drive resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in EE, CS or other related field
- 8+ years professional experience in native mobile development
- Experience implementing modern platform design patterns
- Understanding of testing iOS applications using platform tools
- Experience with dependency management tools in iOS
- Advanced networking skills ie. migration between stacks, graphql, protobuff, streaming protocols, pub-sub, etc.
- Experience monitoring and improving app performance
- Experience designing, implementing, maintaining shared code
- Advanced understanding of iOS design paradigms (HIG)
- Mastery of advanced swift language features & iOS APIs
- Experience authoring shared libraries (internal or external distribution)
- Advanced debugging skills, lldb, instruments, network conditioner, etc
- Experience with iOS CI/CD
