Job Summary
Senior Staff iOS Engineer to help set technical direction and shape engineering culture at Twitter. You will work with cross-functional partners to plan, implement, and validate iOS solutions, span all layers of the iOS stack, identify UX/UI and codebase improvements, and lead by example with architecture/design documents, maintainable code, and high-quality tests. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and delivering scalable, user-centric iOS development across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience developing mobile applications on iOS with Objective-C and/or Swift
- Knowledge of core CS concepts such as data structures and algorithms, profiling, and optimization
- Familiar with iOS SDK frameworks including networking, data persistence, logging and performance tooling
- Familiar with unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation
- Strong understanding of iOS design guidelines
- Subject Matter Expert in iOS development
- Experience building products from scratch and translating product requirements into engineering plans
- Experience with iOS networking stacks
- Ability to negotiate technical expectations, bring designs to life, and quickly fix bugs
- Experience creating scalable, reusable code and high-quality tests
- Advocate of user-centric product development and shipping software at scale
- Proven leadership experience as technical lead/architect
- Experience coordinating high-impact projects across multiple teams
