Job Summary
Staff Infrastructure Engineer to manage infrastructure for Quantifind’s applications and services. You will work on infrastructure and deployments with a strong focus on infrastructure as code, scalability, security, and automation. The role involves collaborating with platform engineers, data scientists, security engineers, and product managers; mentoring engineers; solving deployment challenges; and improving design, performance, and testing of systems. The stack includes Terraform/OpenTofu, AWS (including GovCloud), Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, Ansible, PostgreSQL, and other tooling, with deployments to data centers and AWS. The team operates in a hybrid model with a preference for Washington, DC-based candidates.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship required
- Comfortable with operating under FedRAMP, FISMA, IL4/5 in a highly regulated environment
- 8+ years of professional industry experience
- 2+ years at a SaaS startup
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- Deep background with using Terraform/OpenTofu with a DRY methodology
- Very comfortable in AWS, AWS GovCloud experience is a plus
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration under Kubernetes / EKS
- Preference for observability, operational performance with an AWS native services focus
- Excellent communication, presentation and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Good technical documentation ability
- Experience and comfort with Agile software development best practices
- Ability to work across teams with different priorities
- Familiarity with programmatically setting up and configuring firewall instances (ex: Palo Alto)
- Familiarity with RDBMS systems (PostgreSQL)
