Job Summary
Hardware Engineer to design and validate next-generation hardware/software/AI systems at BrightAI. Lead the full hardware project lifecycle from conceptualization to production, define hardware features and interfaces, and develop proof-of-concept hardware. Create and maintain circuit schematics and PCB layouts using Altium or Cadence, support board bring-up with ARM CPUs/MCUs, and develop hardware verification test plans. Collaborate with domestic and international suppliers, establish hardware development processes (CMMI or equivalent), and contribute to Linux board support packages and software driver integration. Design and optimize analog/digital circuits, layout high-speed PCBs, and provide cross-functional support to software engineering. Prepare travel for hardware bring-up, manufacturing, and customer support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Over 7 years of hands-on experience with circuit board design
- Experience in embedded system design (circuit design, testing, debugging, firmware development)
- Analog and mixed-signal circuit design and simulation
- Experience with camera sensors
- Experience in digital interfaces (MIPI, USB, I2C/SPI, SDIO, UART) and wireless protocols (LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
- FCC and PTCRB regulatory experience
- Familiarity with Linux in hardware/software integration
- Proficiency with Altium or Cadence for schematic/layout
- Soldering skills; IPC610 certification preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to travel for hardware bring-up and manufacturing
- Understanding of verification/validation strategies
