Job Summary

Admissions Assistant for the Graduate Enrollment team at Cedarville University supports the graduate admissions journey from application through enrollment. This part-time, non-exempt role coordinates admissions-processing steps, follows up with applicants, and collaborates with internal offices to move applicants through the enrollment process efficiently. The position requires an associate or bachelor’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), up to 1040-hours yearly, and strong written/verbal communication, technical proficiency (including Slate CRM and MS Office), and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding university policies and standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited institution
  • Experience in admissions or higher education environment preferred
  • Slate CRM experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Background check required
  • Must align with Cedarville University Doctrinal Statement and Community Covenant

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in admissions, student service, higher education, customer service, administrative processing, or similar experiences preferred
  • Experience working with Slate or an equivalent CRM preferred
  • High computer proficiency with the ability to use technology to acquire, analyze, and communicate information; Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) preferred
  • Proven excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated to problem solve effectively while managing various projects or tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to concentrate and use independent reasoning and good judgment within clearly defined role boundaries and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and achieve priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Adept at following defined processes with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
  • Proven ability to establish positive working relationships and strong partnerships with internal and external constituents
  • Must be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with the university Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and General Work Place Standards
  • Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented; energetic, innovative, compassionate, poised, resilient, trustworthy, dependable, adaptable to change
  • Experience in coordinating with internal support offices and managing admissions-processing steps
  • Experience with applicant progression through stages of graduate admission process
  • Experience in monitoring progress and follow-up communications with applicants
  • Background check is required as part of employment process

  • Attention to confidentiality and data handling
  • Ability to work in a team and liaise between applicants and university offices
