Job Summary
Provide support on environmental projects including emergency response, Phase I assessments, soil and groundwater characterization, air sampling, remediation system operation, lithologic logging, well construction monitoring, and water resources activities. Conduct field work to drive project execution while ensuring health and safety procedures are followed. Interact regularly with local clientele and contractors, manage administrative responsibilities, and provide accurate data to senior scientists while preparing daily reports. Ensure jobs are delivered on-time, within scope, and on-budget. This full-time role includes Monday through Friday hours with occasional weekend work, one to two weeks of overnight sampling per quarter, and possible extended emergency deployments of two to three weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science
- Zero to two years of environmental-related work experience
- Ability to work outdoors, traverse moderate terrain and lift up to 50 pounds
- Technical writing competency
- Strong technical and computer skills
- Self-starter, quick learner and effective communication skills
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented
- Strong problem-solving and research skills
- Organized and able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Energetic, self-sufficient, and motivated
