Job Summary
Staff Geologist leading environmental projects in San Antonio, TX. Provides technical leadership, manages field investigations, reviews data for regulatory compliance, and prepares/ supervises Phase I & II ESAs, Remedial Investigations, and property assessments. Responsible for regulatory documentation (TCEQ, TRRP, RCRA, CERCLA, etc.), evaluation of laboratory data, development of concise technical reports, coordination of field activities, management of subcontractors, client liaison, project execution, budgeting, scheduling, mentorship of junior staff, and supporting business development. Requires 10+ years in environmental consulting, a TexasProfessional Geologist/Geoscientist license, strong communication and writing skills, and willingness to travel; onsite work at the San Antonio office is expected. Potential for long-term advancement including ownership opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Professional Geologist/Geoscientist License in Texas
- 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting
- Demonstrated experience managing projects under regulatory programs such as TRRP, CERCLA, RCRA
- Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass background checks for federal facility access
- Willingness to obtain certifications and participate in ongoing training
