Job Summary
Staff Geologist/Hydrologist to join Geo-Logic Associates’ New Mexico technical team. The role involves applying geology/hydrogeology knowledge to water resources design and management, soil and groundwater remediation, and mining-industry support. The candidate will travel to remote field sites in the southwestern U.S. (primarily New Mexico), work with a team of geologists, hydrogeologists, and engineers, perform field mapping and logging, groundwater flow analysis, aquifer evaluations, well design, and use ArcGIS or similar GIS software to manage geospatial data. The position offers growth opportunities within a 400-person firm across 30 offices, with a comprehensive benefits package and potential for cross-state project involvement. Travel to project sites, evening/weekend work, and the ability to work independently are expected, along with strong written and verbal communication skills to address technical and lay audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer
- Experience with ArcGIS or similar software for managing geospatial data
- Willingness to travel to remote job sites in the southwestern United States, primarily in New Mexico
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with a team of geologists, hydrogeologists, and engineers
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions
