Staff Full-Stack Engineer

Job Summary
Take full ownership of the web-based database application, spanning technical design, backend and database development with Java and Spring, front-end delivery, deployment, and production support on AWS. Design and maintain reliable services, harden front-end features using AI-assisted tools, and collaborate directly with Product and Operations to identify inefficiencies and prioritize investments based on ROI. Participate in a shared production-support rotation during New York business hours and help establish incident-response and monitoring practices. Over the next six months, interview, hire, and mentor backend, frontend, and platform engineers while contributing to technical architecture and engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field (preferred but not required)
- 8 or more years of professional software engineering experience
- Equivalent evidence of Staff-level technical ownership and impact
- Deep professional experience with backend development
- Ownership of database-driven web applications in production
- Strong proficiency in Java
- Hands-on experience with Spring or Spring Boot
- Strong experience with relational database design
