Job Summary
Hardware Test - Thermal Staff Engineer responsible for planning, scheduling, resourcing, executing, and analyzing thermal and mechanical tests for trays, racks, and related equipment. Lead test development efforts, create test plans using design of experiments, configure data acquisition and lab instrumentation (DAQ, Flow Bench, RS232, Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth), develop automated data-collection scripts, and readout prototype computer data. Interconnect lab equipment, execute tests hands-on, report results to engineering teams and customers, design test vehicles, and oversee lab technicians. Must interpret customer requirements, determine test methods and success criteria, and ensure tests meet specifications. Extensive lab work with occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- 7-10 years of related experience
- Experience in hardware test and thermal/mechanical systems
- Ability to lead lab technicians and manage resources
- Experience with test instrumentation and data analysis

- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field
- 7-10 years of hardware test experience
- Experience designing and executing thermal/mechanical test plans
- Experience leading lab technicians
- Proficiency with data acquisition systems (DAQ), Flow Bench, RS232, Ethernet, USB, and Bluetooth
- Automation scripting for test execution and data collection
- Strong analytical, statistical, and DOE (design of experiments) skills
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate into test methods
