Job Summary
Staff Systems Engineer Test at Northrop Grumman is responsible for delivering hands-on deployment and integration work in a dedicated lab environment, operating and maintaining a multi-vendor lab (digital, fiber, 1394 bus systems), performing digital-bus troubleshooting, and applying RF experience for signal integrity and interference mitigation. The role requires coordinating with customers, providing timely remote status updates, and working onsite in Ft. Worth with occasional travel to San Diego for training. A lab-focused engineer with strong collaboration skills, ability to resolve integration issues proactively, and a Secret security clearance is sought; the position supports relocation assistance and requires the ability to work extended hours and non-standard shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with 12 years of experience; 10 years with a Master's Degree; 8 years with a Ph.D. (4 years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree)
- Laboratory integration experience
- Active US Government Secret security clearance
- Willingness to work extended hours and non-standard shifts
- Ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain a multi-vendor lab environment (digital, fiber, 1394 bus systems)
- Experience with RF and digital testing and troubleshooting
