Job Summary
Lead the architecture and development of advanced analytical instrumentation platforms, focusing on integrated system solutions in liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, and other analytical technologies. Responsibilities include translating customer needs into scalable system architectures, driving end-to-end systems engineering activities, collaborating with global teams, and providing technical leadership. A Master’s degree with experience in systems engineering or product development is required, along with proficiency in relevant engineering tools and methodologies. Strong experience with analytical instrumentation platforms is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or product development for complex instrumentation
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or product development for complex instrumentation
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, Analytical Chemistry, or a related technical field
Desired Qualifications
- Strong experience with analytical instrumentation platforms such as HPLC/UHPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, or related technologies
- Deep understanding of system integration across fluidics, ion optics, detectors, vacuum systems, electronics, and embedded/software controls
- Expertise in systems engineering methodologies, including requirements management and model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
- Proven track record of delivering high-performance analytical systems in regulated or quality-driven environments
- Experience with verification and validation planning, analytical method performance considerations, and system-level testing
- Proficiency in engineering tools such as MATLAB, CAD platforms, and requirements management systems
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulatory frameworks applicable to scientific or analytical instrumentation
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid development environments
- Strong analytical and statistical capabilities, including DOE and reliability engineering approaches
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, global teams and influence technical direction
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
