Job Summary
Staff Software Engineer - Cloud & Applications responsible for adapting a suite of mobile control station software to a cloud environment, participating in building Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and infrastructure to deploy the solution to an Il-5 cloud environment including containerization, instrumentation, integration, security, and system test. Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams (Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud & Applications, DevOps) in an Agile software development environment. Requires strong experience with infrastructure components, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, software-defined networking, scripting languages (C, C++, Java, Python), and Agile tools (Jira, Confluence). Preferred qualifications include a cloud platform certification and advanced degrees in CS/Software/EE, with a focus on cloud adoption, data migration, RBAC and IAM concepts, and git workflows (ArgoCD, Flux, Gitlab). The role is onsite in El Segundo, CA, with relocation assistance available, and requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain government clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 12 years of experience OR Master’s Degree in STEM with 10 years of relevant experience OR PhD in STEM with 8 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance and SAP
