Job Summary

Design and implement software in Java, focusing on object-oriented principles, state machines, and multi-threading. Drive adoption of AI-assisted testing, automated code generation, and intelligent debugging while overseeing end-to-end implementation of interfaces and testing strategies. Lead root cause investigations into high-complexity issues, provide technical feasibility assessments, and maintain design documents. Independently manage product development processes, conduct design reviews, and communicate with internal stakeholders on decisions impacting the team. Comply with FDA regulations and company policies while collaborating with employees, customers, and vendors across multiple sites.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably in Computer Science or related field with 8-10 years of related experience
  • master's degree with 7+ years of related experience
  • Ability to independently learn/explore existing system functionality
  • Strong hands-on programming/coding knowledge of Java or any Object-oriented programming
  • Progressively more responsible work experience in a range of software engineering disciplines using a variety of programming methods
  • Expertise with visual modeling, graphical user interfaces, multi-threading, formal software development methodologies, and source code management
  • Intermediate to moderate understanding of Linux Operating system
  • Strong knowledge with continuous integration & continuous development
  • Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to debug and arrive at solutions
  • Experience with source control and bug tracking tools (Git, Jira)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted development tools, generative AI technologies, and intelligent automation platforms to accelerate software design, implementation, testing, debugging, and delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, security, compliance, and reliability
  • Experience working with teams cohesively from multiple sites
  • Experience developing medical device software
  • Experience in embedded systems software development is a plus
  • Experience developing software applications for tablet platforms and touch-enabled devices, including responsive UI/UX design and cross-platform deployment
