Job Summary
Serve as the enterprise technical authority for packaging equipment and line systems across Agropur's manufacturing network, providing deep subject matter expertise in design, integration, and performance. Lead technical reviews of capital projects and act as the final authority for engineering decisions on layout, selection, and operability. Translate packaging requirements into practical equipment solutions while establishing and maintaining enterprise standards for hygienic design, food safety, and automation strategies. Provide targeted technical support to Operational Excellence and resolve complex issues beyond site capability, while monitoring emerging technologies to enable future product pipeline growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering
- 10+ years in packaging equipment engineering or capital execution
- Expertise in line design, equipment selection, and integration
- Experience developing technical standards and specifications
- Strong understanding of packaging operations in food/dairy environments
- Knowledge of hygienic design principles
- Understanding of OEE and performance metrics
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Experience with large-scale packaging capital projects
- Experience with high-speed automated lines
- Experience working with OEMs and integrators
- Familiarity with controls and automation strategies
- Experience implementing enterprise standards
- Working knowledge of packaging materials (equipment-focused)
- An adequate knowledge of French
