Job Summary
Design, develop, and verify components and subsystems for medical devices with minimal supervision, translating user needs into design specifications and delivering system-level solutions. Lead prototyping and testing efforts to validate design performance, identifying and resolving complex design issues using data-driven analysis. Apply clinical knowledge to author design inputs and support Voice of Customer sessions while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Mentor others in design control practices and create engineering documentation, including Design History Files. Collaborate cross-functionally to drive projects from concept through launch.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
- Minimum four years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience designing mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies
- Proficiency in creating engineering drawings and models using GD&T and CAE tools
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD tools, preferably Creo
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with risk management and quality systems in a regulated environment
