Job Summary
Senior Staff Engineer, Integrations responsible for designing, architecting, and governing the resilient backend services that connect the Showpad platform with leading SaaS ecosystems. You will be the primary technical gatekeeper, ensuring architectures meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, and observability. Key duties include authoring Architecture Decision Records for new integrations, building isolated microservices in TypeScript and Go, provisioning AWS CDK-based infra across multi-region environments (DynamoDB, Aurora RDS), creating idempotent outbound APIs with exponential backoff, designing asynchronous webhook ingestion with EventBridge and SQS, instrumenting telemetry with OpenTelemetry, and deploying Datadog dashboards to monitor SLIs. You will enforce tenant isolation, GDPR data minimization, and SOC 2 Type II cryptographic standards, and lead Operational Readiness Reviews to ensure CI/CD quality gates are met before production. About you: Bachelor’s in IT/CS/Software Eng, 6+ years of software engineering, deep TypeScript and Go expertise, strong AWS serverless experience (CDK, EventBridge, SQS, Secrets Manager), expertise in event-driven architectures and distributed systems trade-offs, proficiency in observability tooling, and familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Go
- Strong experience with AWS serverless architectures and CDK
- Experience with EventBridge, SQS, Secrets Manager
- Experience with DynamoDB and Amazon Aurora RDS
- Proficiency in observability tools (Datadog, OpenTelemetry) and distributed tracing
- Ability to design decoupled, event-driven architectures
- Experience with Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
- Knowledge of GDPR data minimization and SOC 2 Type II cryptographic standards
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and operational readiness reviews (ORR)
- Strong focus on security, tenant isolation, and scalability
