Job Summary
Staff Engineer for Highway/Traffic design and analysis in Wall, NJ. Design and prepare roadway and traffic engineering plans including alignments, profiles, signage, striping, and maintenance of traffic plans; support traffic studies (traffic impact studies, signal warrant analyses, capacity analysis); collect and analyze data (traffic counts, field observations); prepare technical reports and calculations; utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Synchro, HCS; coordinate with internal teams; assist with client coordination; support construction phase services including shop drawing review and field inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship experience preferred)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year
- Basic knowledge of roadway and/or traffic engineering principles
- Familiarity with NJDOT, AASHTO, and MUTCD standards is a plus
- Experience with design and analysis software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Synchro, HCS, etc.) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks
