Assist with roadway and traffic engineering plans, including alignments, profiles, signage, and maintenance of traffic plans. Support traffic studies such as impact analyses, signal warrants, and capacity assessments. Perform data collection via traffic counts and field observations, then prepare technical reports and calculations. Utilize design software like AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Synchro, and HCS while coordinating with internal teams and managing client communications. Review shop drawings and conduct field inspections during the construction phase. This entry-level role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and EIT certification, with a starting salary of $70,000 to $77,000 at French & Parrello Associates in Wall, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year
- Basic knowledge of roadway and/or traffic engineering principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks
