Staff Engineer (HDD Backend Test Process)

Job Summary
Lead technical problem-solving and drive resolution of complex manufacturing, test, and product quality issues. Develop strategies to improve yield, test performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency by managing PCO releases, configuration control, and analyzing CERT testing data for root cause identification and continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Design, Firmware, Quality, and Operations to support new product introduction and technology transitions. Apply data-driven methodologies using tools like JMP, Minitab, SQL, and Python to optimize processes in our Korat facility, which produces cloud-based storage equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field
- Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related discipline
- Proven experience in solving complex technical and manufacturing challenges using data-driven methodologies
- Strong background in yield improvement, process optimization, reliability enhancement, and root cause analysis
- Experience leading cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Product Development teams
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong technical leadership with a track record of mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a global organization
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as JMP, Minitab, SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, FMEA, and other problem-solving methodologies
- Good command of English and Thai
