Job Summary
Lead the development and manufacturing-processor innovation for medical devices. Independently tackle technical problems of moderate scope, monitor project progress to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery, and apply advanced engineering techniques to reduce time-to-market while meeting regulatory, cost, and quality targets. Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP, and PPAP generation for manufacturing transfers and launches; specify manufacturing of PCB/PCBA at supplier end; perform DFM for PCB/PCBA using Valor and Altium; conduct capability studies for in-process inspection and generate inspection documentation; perform MSA studies for sustaining products and processes; review and approve validation documentation; select components and equipment based on specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements. Requires the ability to read complex drawings, understand GD&T, and travel ~30%. Role supports multiple work arrangements including remote/alternate workplaces, hybrid, field-based, and onsite depending on assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 12+ years of experience in medical device/manufacturing
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes
- Experience in plastic molding, ultrasonic/RF welding, sealing, thermo-forming or sewing processes (strongly preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings; GD&T knowledge
- Lean Six Sigma green or black belt preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
