Job Summary
Staff Engineer – DFT Engineering responsible for designing and implementing DFT features for complex ICs (LBIST, ATPG, DFT DRC, MBIST, Boundary Scan, JTAG, Analog DFT). Collaborate with design and verification teams to develop scan chains, compression, and self-test structures; perform RTL/Netlist DFT verification with SDF; utilize Cadence/Siemens DFT tools for analysis, DFT STA constraints, and test pattern generation; validate patterns in RTL/Netlist; mentor junior engineers; coordinate with physical design for DFT constraints; diagnose and debug test failures; travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in DFT methodologies and techniques
- Strong knowledge of LBIST, ATPG, DFT DRC, Scan compression, Low power DFT Techniques, MBIST, Boundary Scan, Analog DFT, JTAG Architecture, DFT STA Constraint development
- Hands-on experience with Cadence/Siemens DFT EDA tools for Scan stitching, DRC, ATPG, Coverage improvement, MBIST, Boundary Scan
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, and/or Python for automation
- Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, RTL coding, Lint/CDC, Low Power Checks and ASIC design flow
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Export licensing review process awareness for roles with restricted data
