Job Summary
Conduct independent evaluations using standard techniques and procedures, performing preliminary report writing and review while attending client site meetings. Review project plans and specifications prepared by others, train technicians, and perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests. Work both in the field and laboratory regularly, communicating effectively with client and project teams. Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure the safety of others. Work off shift and overtime as needed, with up to 25% travel time. Lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited/ABET school
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
- solid interpersonal skills
- The ability to read and understand work plans
- Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
- May travel up to 25% of time
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
- Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work

Desired Qualifications
