Job Summary
Design electrical components and modify production drawings for power plants, process facilities, industrial, healthcare, airports, educational, commercial, and governmental projects. Perform electrical design from the conceptual phase through completion, adapting plans to budget constraints and client needs. Update CAD drawings to verify corrections, research project data, and compile information for client presentations and contract administration. Conduct field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients. Apply strong knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, codes, and procedures within the services industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of electrical engineering experience
- Successful completion (i.e.passing) FE or EIT
- Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment

- Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong computer skills include AutoCAD, MicroStation, 2D and 3D rendering programs and other analysis programs

Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience
- 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred
