Job Summary
Architect, implement and design boards for the Ford Universal EV platform hardware, including both on-vehicle and off-vehicle components. Focus on product-differentiating, customer-facing designs and circuits for new product features. Lead PCB design, schematics and layout, bring-up, and testing, with expertise in DC-DC converters, high-speed digital signaling, and I2C/SPI data buses. Collaborate with overseas contract manufacturers and production teams to ensure robust hardware for EV systems. Position targets cutting-edge features within a fast-paced development environment and requires a strong hardware background and a track record of shipping complex boards.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background in printed circuit board design, schematics and layout
- Portfolio of shipping products with specifications, schematic design, layout, bring-up, and testing
- Knowledge of DC-to-DC converters
- High speed digital signaling
- Common data buses (I2C, SPI)
- Analog circuit design
- Experience with overseas contract manufacturers and production processes preferred
