Job Summary
Staff Electrical Engineer responsible for leading design and development of electrical and control systems for large-scale projects within the ADTECH division, focusing on power and control solutions for underwater robotic and electromechanical systems serving DoD clients. Role involves hands-on participation in design and execution phases, leading and mentoring engineers, translating requirements into detailed autonomous designs, participating in design reviews, collaborating with mechanical/software/systems engineers, and maintaining accountability for project results. Must have a BS (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic/Computer/Robotics Engineering with an electrical concentration, 10+ years of experience, and be a U.S. citizen with potential for DoD security clearance. Desirable experience with automated/robotic control systems, cross-functional teamwork, and proactive leadership. This is a non-remote, full-time position based in North Charleston, SC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or related field with an Electrical concentration
- At least 10 years of practical, technical experience in electrical engineering (concept development, system design, analysis, simulation, integration, and testing)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance; active clearances preferred but not required before employment
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Proven capability to lead and mentor a team
- Experience in designing control systems for automated or robotic systems is highly desirable
- Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams
