Job Summary

Design and develop novel flight systems, including schematic capture, electrical simulation, and subsystem selection for hypersonic applications. Generate electrical interface control documents, manage third-party contractors, and lead technical teams in procurement, manufacturing, and integration testing. Present complex technical programs to non-technical personnel and ensure compliance with EMI/EMC/ESD standards. This Staff Electrical Engineer role supports the Flight Systems Futures team at Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT. The position requires a Secret clearance and 12+ years of experience, with a standard 9/80 work schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with PSPICE electrical simulation
  • Electrical requirements development

  • Electrical system architecture design, including grounding, power distribution, communication busses and discrete signaling
  • Electrical component selection
  • Electrical subsystem selection
  • Analog circuit design
  • T05: 12 Years with Bachelors in Science; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD
  • 2+ years of experience leading Electrical Engineering and/or technical teams
  • 5+ years electrical design experience for hypersonic systems, flight systems, missiles, etc.
  • Active or current Secret clearance at time of application
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
