Job Summary

Conduct Weapon System Electrical Design Integration as a Subject Matter Expert, driving engineering processes and gap resolution to achieve program objectives. Develop modeling solutions, lead trade studies, and manage internal and external electrical interfaces including data, power, and RF systems. Collaborate with technical leadership on requirements generation, subsystem design, and flight testing, while performing analyses to ensure cohesive electrical-system solutions throughout the development lifecycle. Manage hardware command and telemetry implementation, verify electrical connectivity, and drive open design to completion. This Staff Electrical Engineer role supports the Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test Business Unit's System Integration & Sustainment Operating Unit. The position requires a 9/80 schedule with a base salary range of $152,900 to $229,300.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent STEM related discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university
  • 12 years of relevant experience
  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification
  • Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances
  • Minimum 8+ years working experience on ICBMs or other ground to air-based systems
  • 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in at least three of the following fields: electrical architecture, design, interface definition (internal and/or external), development and test of mixed signal circuits, power distribution, or avionics system integration for aerospace or defense
  • Extensive Electrical Engineering background with an understanding of analog and digital electronics, power systems, Command and Data Handling, Signal Integrity, and Grounding schema
  • 7+ years of technical experience in systems engineering and/or integration execution
  • Strong electrical engineering design and analysis skills in the application of test hardware design along with the implementation of the design review process (DRR, PDR & CDR)
  • Working experience utilizing Siemens Xpedition, Altium Designer, or a similar development suite for Schematic Capture, CCA Layout, and DRC
  • Working experience utilizing Siemens Capital
  • Ability to determine unit-under-test test requirements and then translate those requirements into a test and repair operational environment
  • Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with Spice, MathCAD, MATLAB, or other simulation tool suites
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and analytic skills
  • Works well in a team environment within all levels of the test integrated team structure

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree with 10 years experience
  • PhD with 8 years experience
  • Prior leadership experience in IPT or SEIT Lead roles or equivalent
  • Prior experience performing EMI/EMC design work on fixed ground installations
  • Prior experience in E3 related areas such as ESD, HERO, TEMPEST
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design, test, shielding techniques, thermal management for electronic systems, component to ground/air based electrical system grounding schema, isolation, ground loops and characterization, and power quality
  • Past/Active employment with MMIII or Sentinel Weapon Systems with substantial execution toward electrical engineering technical products
  • Full life cycle experience developing, integrating, and deploying maritime RF systems
  • Ability to monitor hardware and software design teams with critical insight to know when the teams are not on path to successful implementation and then be able help steer the team to a successful solution
  • Experience with high-power and high-frequency systems, including power electronics, RF telemetry, and secure communications
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design, shielding techniques, and thermal management for electronic systems
  • Familiarity with hardware qualification processes, including environmental testing, vibration, and shock testing
  • Hands-on experience with system integration, troubleshooting, and flight test support
  • Experience in hypersonic vehicle, missile, or high-speed aircraft programs
  • Knowledge of radiation-hardened electronics and fault-tolerant design for extreme conditions
  • Experience contributing towards various phases of a program lifecycle
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, milestone reviews, and government contracting
  • Experience maintaining and reporting status of program activities
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and initiative to perform in a cross functional team
