Job Summary
The Staff DevOps Engineer will build and operate pre-production environment infrastructure, automated quality gates, and internal tools that ensure stable and validated production-ready code. Key responsibilities include designing ephemeral development environments, owning the infrastructure for automated load testing and security scanning, and creating review tooling and operational dashboards. The role requires expertise in AWS and Kubernetes, a strong background in infrastructure as code with Terraform, and a focus on enabling developer operations at scale. Candidates should also have a proven track record in CI/CD, integration testing, and observability.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles building and operating production systems at scale
- Expertise with Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS
- Strong IaC experience (Terraform preferred) and GitOps workflows
- Proven track record building ephemeral environments and developer tooling
- CI/CD depth including caching/parallelism, artifact management, test reliability
- Experience with release strategies (canary/blue-green, automated rollbacks)
- Observability fundamentals
Desired Qualifications
- Active user of AI development tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc) in infrastructure workflow
- Experience with load testing frameworks (k6, Locust, Gatling)
- Excellent cross-team communicator
