Job Summary
Direct in-service educational programs in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care. Develop, establish, and maintain objectives, policies, procedures, and in-service training programs across departments while maintaining reports, class attendance records, and subject records. Coordinate and conduct employee training, in-services, and new-hire orientations to educate staff regarding nursing policies and procedures. Assist staff in understanding duties and improving performance by identifying and correcting problem areas through proper communication and program presentation. Requires an Alabama-licensed Registered Nurse with two years of supervisory experience and knowledge of long-term care regulations. Full-time position at Arlington Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Birmingham, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse licensed by the State of Alabama
- two years supervisory previous experience and training staff
- knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulation and guidelines governing long-term care
- good communication skills, both verbally and written
- positive attitude toward the elderly
