Job Summary
Develop and maintain an annual staff development program for nursing personnel, coordinating orientations and serving as a preceptor for new hires. Plan mandatory in-services, competency validations, and training on new policies or clinical practices while maintaining accurate records of education and licensure. Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and performance management, while participating in quality assurance and incident investigations. Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to ensure readiness for surveys and maintain clinical standards. Requires active RN license, BSN preferred, and minimum two years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
- CPR Certification
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting
- Previous experience in staff development, education, or training
- Working knowledge of long-term care regulations, survey process, and clinical nursing practices
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and coaching skills
- Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening
