Job Summary
Staff Development Nurse (RN) manages and coordinates the total nursing care of residents throughout the facility under supervision of the Director of Nursing. Collaborates with the MDS coordinator to support resident assessments, care planning, documentation, and care conferences; identifies and coordinates resident care across all shifts; ensures safety and communication with residents, families, and physicians; supports staffing patterns to meet census needs; promotes a positive environment and staff retention; provides direct resident care as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current State of Wisconsin license in good standing
- Flexible schedule to meet unit and facility needs
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations
- Knowledge and efficiency in the care planning process
- Good communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to give direction and delegate duties involving resident care
- Problem-solving skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds with frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds, push/pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk 4-6 hours in an 8-12 hour day
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays
