Job Summary
The Staff Development Educator serves as a clinical coach and resource for new Hospice and Palliative Care staff, guiding clinical orientation and training. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, coordinating field visits, and supporting staff development programs; requires a nursing degree (RN) and proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Electronic Medical Records.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing required; Master’s in Education, Nursing or related field preferred
- Three years of progressive job related Hospice and Palliative Care experience, including field visits and coordination of care
- Prior experience as a preceptor/mentor preferred
- Licensure and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Electronic Medical Record knowledge required
