Job Summary
Staff Development Coordinator role focusing on designing and delivering job skills training and in-service education for nursing department staff. Responsibilities include developing and implementing training, regularly assessing CNA skill competency and resident-centered care quality, and providing 1:1 instruction when needed. Requires an active RN license, at least 3 years of clinical experience (long-term care preferred), and CPR certification. Knowledge of nursing practices, applicable laws/regulations, and ability to train new staff in identified deficient areas to ensure safe, high-quality resident care.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with required current state licensure
- Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in a health care setting; long-term care setting preferred
- Must have a current/active CPR certification
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
