Job Summary
Develop and implement job skills training and in-service education for nursing department employees, ensuring compliance with regulations and employee health monitoring standards. Regularly assess C.N.A. skill performance, positive regard for residents, and developmental needs, providing immediate one-on-one instruction when deficiencies arise. Deliver targeted skill training to new staff in any deficient areas before authorizing them to perform tasks with residents. Maintain competency checks and support direct care staff in long-term care settings.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- required current state licensure
- Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in a health care setting
- current/active CPR certification
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures
- laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
