Job Summary
Assess, plan, organize, implement, and evaluate the center Staff Development Program while performing clinical tasks and assisting other departments. Conduct orientation programs for new, rehired, and contract employees, including hands-on clinical instruction for licensed and unlicensed personnel. Develop and coordinate job training, CPR training, and state/federally required in-service programs that meet accreditation standards. Monitor employee performance, ensure compliance training, and manage the Employee Health program. Work with the Director of Nursing to assess resident needs, evaluate clinical competency, and assist in budget preparation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- BS degree
- Licensed as a RN
- Valid CPR teaching certificate
- Current with state Continuing Education (CE) Requirements
- Three years of nursing experience
- One year of nursing experience in a long-term care environment
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience as an instructor
