Job Summary
Staff Development Registered Nurse responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating the center Staff Development Program; performs clinical tasks and assists in other departments. Drives employee education to ensure compliance with state, federal and accreditation requirements; develops and conducts orientation programs for new, rehired, and contract staff; coordinates OSHA/Risk Management training; delivers hands-on clinical orientation to licensed and unlicensed personnel; supports certification and in-service programs for Nursing Assistants; collaborates with the Director of Nursing to ensure clinical competency and annual skills assessments; manages training documentation and budget adherence; fosters a learning-focused environment to enhance resident care and staff performance.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a RN
- Bachelor's degree preferred (BS degree)
- Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable
- Current with state Continuing Education (CE) requirements
- Three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in a long-term care environment
- One year of experience as an instructor preferred
