Staff Development Coordinator (Registered Nurse/RN)

Job Summary
Plan, develop, direct, and coordinate staff training, education, in-service, and orientation while maintaining all associate training records. Evaluate programs, implement departmental policies, and interpret goals and objectives. Conduct competency evaluations for patient rights, safety, and sanitation. Maintain current CPR certification and exhibit excellent customer service toward patients. Communicate productively on an interdisciplinary team and assist in patient evacuations. Adhere to Life Care standards, laws, and regulations governing the post-acute care facility. Maintain confidentiality and follow harassment and compliance procedures. Requires an active RN license, one year skilled nursing experience, and teaching experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing)
- Currently licensed/registered in applicable State
- Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Expert knowledge in field of practice
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
- Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
- Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
- Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year skilled nursing experience preferred
- Teaching/education experience preferred
